Miniscriber, Le Bristol Paris edition, is a conceptual poetry synthesizer specially created to celebrate the centenary of the storied hotel, Le Bristol Paris.

In honour of Le Bristol Paris’ legacy of artistic patronage and cultural vibrancy, the Miniscriber brings together the arts in a way that celebrates the avant-garde of the past and present. The synthesiser — a pioneering instrument of electronic music — and its modes, features and vernacular give way to a poetic machine and a playful, forward-facing literary practice of sculpting and sampling words.

At the heart of this edition is the input text, the hotel’s century-old archive, including guestbook inscriptions by artists, celebrities and dignitaries, sumptuous restaurant menus, and textual interpretations of photographs of the hotel over the years.

Miniscriber, Le Bristol Paris edition is an invitation to play with the layered narrative of one of Paris’ most iconic cultural landmarks.
